Get the details on drop-off and pick-up procedures, aftercare information, and daily activities. 

8:40am – 9:05am Check-in 

12:00pm – 12:15pm Kinder Check-out 

3:40pm – 4:05pm Check-out 

4:05pm – 5:00pm Aftercare Check-out 

Kindergarten camp is a half-day program that runs from 9am – 12pm, with pick-up taking place from 12:00pm – 12:15pm. Kinder campers will have a 30-minute snack break and story time session each day. Please send your camper with a few snacks or light lunch. Aftercare is not available for kindergarten campers.

9:30am –11:30am  

  • Museum exhibit exploration, Themed activity, Themed craft 

11:30am – 12:00pm Snack and Storytime

12:00pm – 12:15pm Kinder Check-out

Each camp group will also attend 1 planetarium program and 1 Science Stage show per week. These will replace crafts/activities on select days. 

1st – 8th grade camps are full-day programs that run from 9am – 4pm, with pick-up taking place from 3:40pm – 4:05pm. These camps will have a 15-minute snack break in the morning, a 30-minute lunch midday, and a 15-minute snack break in the afternoon each day. Campers often need more food than anticipated, as they burn lots of energy! Please send your camper with two or three snacks and a lunch.

3:40pm – 4:05pm Goodbye/Check-out

4:05pm – 5:00pm Aftercare

Check In

Check-in is at Riverfront Patio (the gated area at the far end of our parking lot) from 8:40am-9:05am. We require a guardian signature.

Check-out for Kinder Camp  

Check-out for Kinder Camp is at Riverfront Patio (the gated area at the far end of our parking lot) from 12:00pm-12:15pm. 

Campers may only be picked up by guardians with a valid Photo ID whose names are listed on the Authorized Pickup List.  

Late pick-up will be billed at $1/minute past 12:15pm. 

Check-out for 1st – 8th Grade (CHANGED FOR 2026)  

Check-out for 1st – 8th grade camp is now in front of the museum (between the red wall and the main doors) each day from 3:40pm-4:05pm.  

Campers may only be picked up by guardians with a valid Photo ID whose names are listed on the Authorized Pickup List.  

Late pick-up will be billed at $1/minute past 4:05pm. 

Aftercare

With the Aftercare add-on, you have until 5:00pm to pick up your 1st – 8th grade camper. Kindergarten campers cannot attend aftercare. 

Aftercare can be purchased at a flat rate of $80 per camper per week for care until 5:00pm, which must be purchased separately for the correct camp week (can be used for any to all days of the week).  

Aftercare Check-out happens at the front desk. Campers may only be picked up by guardians with a valid Photo ID whose names are listed on the Authorized Pickup List.  

Late pick-up will be billed at $1/minute past 5:00pm.
