Take your field trip experience to new heights by adding a UC Davis Multiverse Theater program to your plans. Your students will get a live planetarium presentation from one of our talented and entertaining educators that aligns with each grade level NGSS standards. We have one of the most advanced digital planetarium systems in the world, and combine live narration with this state-of-the-art technology to launch you on an exploration of our planet, our solar system, and the universe beyond!

LIVE Planetarium Shows

Our state-of-the-art technology allows us to take your students on fantastic, immersive journeys to learn about Earth and Space in an unforgettable way! All shows are designed to address grade-level specific NGSS learning standards and are presented live by a MOSAC educator.

Cycles of Our Sky (1st-2nd)

Experience the daily cycles of night and day, monthly cycles of the moon, and yearly cycles of the seasons and constellations – all in 45 minutes!

Stars, Solar System
and Beyond (3rd)

Come see what the MOSAC planetarium is all about! This is a less standards-heavy show, introducing your students to stars, planets, and constellations in the night sky, the planets in our solar system, and our place in the Milky Way galaxy. This show is ideal for mixed-age groups.

Earth, A Habitable
Planet? (4th)

What makes Earth remarkable? Join us as we explore planets and moons as habitable ecosystems, touring our solar system to look for similarities and differences and discover why our dynamic home planet stands out as “just right” for life!

Our Place in the Milky Way (5th)

Our Sun is one of billions of stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. In this program, an Educator will fly you through space to take a detailed look at some of those stars, our solar system’s place in the Milky Way, and the reason for seasonal constellation changes.

Humpbacks were nearly driven to extinction 50 years ago, but today are making a slow but remarkable recovery. Join a team of researchers as they unlock the secrets of the humpback and find out why humpbacks are the most acrobatic of all whales, why they sing their haunting songs, and why these intelligent, 55-foot, 50-ton animals migrate up to 10,000 miles round-trip every year.
