Girl Scout Programs at MOSAC

Are you a Girl Scout Troop looking to achieve a new badge while having an immersive and educational experience? MOSAC is the place for you! All programs include a Multiverse Theater Show, exploration of a badge-related museum exhibit, Girl Scouts-specific activities with our education team, and access to the museum for the rest of the day.

Program Details  

Length: 3-hour program from 9am-12pm, plus all-day museum access afterward 

Tickets: $30 per Girl Scout; $15 per Chaperone; plus parking fee. 

Capacity: 30 Girl Scouts; plus required Chaperones (1 Chaperone per 6 Daisies; 1 Chaperone per 8 Brownies/Juniors) 

Badges: While the programs fulfill the requirements needed to earn a badge, the badges themselves are not provided by the museum.

Program Overview 

Wondering what to expect from our program? Read on for an overview of Girl Scouts Programs at MOSAC. 

Upon arrival between 8:55-9:10am, your troop will receive a warm welcome to MOSAC and an itinerary for the program. From 9:15-10:00am, you’ll journey through space and get a Q&A session with our staff in our immersive 46-ft planetarium (the UC Davis Multiverse Theater). For the next hour, participants are free to explore the museum either at their troop’s pace or according to the itinerary’s guiding questions. The 10:00-11:00am hour is also a great time to visit the cafe or munch on any snacks you may have brought from home! All participants will meet back up with our staff in the Omega Classroom for the 11:00am-12:00pm hour of activities, demos, craft, and friendship circle reflection. 

With access to the museum for the rest of the day, troops are welcome to stay for longer than the 3 hours of the program. You’ll leave the museum feeling inspired, curious, and accomplished with another badge achieved!
