Curiosity Knows No Limits
If you have specific mobility or other accessibility questions or concerns, please ask our staff during your visit or email info@visitmosac.org.
Accessibility
Facility
The Museum is architecturally barrier-free and adheres to California Title 24 and federal ADA requirements. An elevator is located in the museum lobby to provide access to the second floor. Accessible restrooms and drinking fountains are located on both levels of the museum. Special accommodations may be considered upon request. An automatic door with push-button entry is to the left of our main doors.
Service Animals
MOSAC welcomes working service animals that are necessary to assist guests with disabilities. Service animals must be under the control of their handler at all times. MOSAC follows ADA guidelines and regulations for service animals.
Parking
Disabled parking spaces are available in MOSAC’s parking lot. Properly credentialed vehicles can use designated metered spaces on property, and must pay the meter assigned to the space. Look for signs to park your vehicle in these designated spaces. Guests may be dropped off in the loading/unloading zone in front of our main entrance. Our uniformed staff and our volunteers can help you find the best route to experience the museum.
Mobility Assistive Devices
Wheelchairs, strollers and all other Mobility Assistive Devices are welcome inside MOSAC. For safety reasons, we will kindly ask to park strollers in the designated area outside of the UC Davis Multiverse Theater prior to entering a Multiverse Theater show.
Assisted Listening Devices
Wireless-assisted listening devices are available upon request for planetarium programming use. We have the following options available to pair with our device receivers:
- An over-ear earpiece
- A foam-covered “earbud” style earpiece
- A neck loop designed for use with telecoil (t-coil) hearing aids or cochlear implants
- Visitors may also use their own headphones if equipped with a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack*
Please arrive at the Multiverse Theater host podium 15 minutes before your scheduled show to allow enough time to obtain and test your assisted listening device.
